UVFR Message From the Chief

FROM THE CHIEF

Welcome to United Volunteer Fire/Rescue's website. With this tool, we hope to share valuable information about our department, the incidents that we respond to, and ways that you and your family can remain safe in today's hectic times.

As a company, UVFR takes a great deal of pride in the work that we do. We understand that our primary focus is to provide fire, EMS and rescue services to the citizens of Wall, East McKeesport, and the surrounding communities on that most difficult day when they have to dial 911. The mission of our department is to respond quickly, efficiently, and professionally to any situation that may arise. Our members train very frequently both in our station and with experts from the county and state level.

From time to time, we will also post information on this site about classes and opportunities that would allow us to interact with the community that we serve. I hope that you would take advantage of some of these opportunities to see what exactly UVFR has to offer.

I would also like to take this opportunity to extend an invitation to anyone age 14 and up who has an interest in joining the department to stop by and talk with the members. We are always looking for people with interest in firefighting and rescue, but there are other ways you can help out such as fundraising or administrative duties.

If you have any questions about United Volunteer Fire/Rescue please feel free to stop by the station or give me a call at 412-823-9654.
